Rachel Golin, MD

Office of the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator (OGAC)

Dr. Rachel Golin is a medical officer at USAID/Washington’s Office of HIV/AIDS and is currently on detail to the Office of the Global AIDS Coordinator (S/GAC), where she serves as the senior technical advisor for HIV testing services, S/GAC Chair for PEPFAR/Burundi, and S/GAC Chair for PEPFAR/Zimbabwe. Dr. Golin received her medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital. Over the past seven years, Dr. Golin has provided clinical technical assistance to several PEPFAR programs, and she thoroughly enjoys supporting programs to ensure standards of HIV prevention, testing, and treatment are delivered in a person-centered manner. Prior to joining PEPFAR, Dr. Golin worked for Baylor College of Medicine Children’s Foundation in then-Swaziland for three and a half years.
