Peter Ehrenkranz, MD, MPH

Dr. Peter Ehrenkranz is a Senior Program Officer at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Prior to joining the Foundation, he worked in Eswatini with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), first as the PEPFAR Care and Treatment Lead, and later as the Country Director. Before that, he spent two years in Liberia with a joint appointment as senior advisor to the National AIDS Control Program and Medical Director for the Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI). Dr. Ehrenkranz has an undergraduate degree in the History of Science and Medicine from Yale, as well as medical and public health degrees from Emory. He trained in internal medicine at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also participated in the Robert Wood Johnson Clinical Scholars Program.
