Stephanie Behel, MPH

Stephanie Behel has more than 20 years of experience in program implementation and surveillance in the area of HIV/AIDS with a focus on HIV prevention and HIV testing services (HTS). Stephanie is currently the HIV Testing Services Team Lead and an Epidemiologist in the Division of Global HIV & TB, HIV Prevention Branch at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. As the HTS Team Lead, she provides strategic direction for programming, policy, and research of HTS interventions in 38 countries and regional programs. In addition, she assists resource-limited countries with the implementation and scale-up of HIV testing and linkage to care approaches, quality assurance measures, and data use. Stephanie received her Bachelor of Science in Community Health Science from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and a Master in Public Health in Epidemiology from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, Atlanta.
